I’m Stacey, Founder of Mermaidcat and I’m grateful to be connected with a fellow crochet enthusiast like you. I think we both know the passion that comes with yarn on the hook. I’m grateful you’re here and I hope to see you’re crochet vision become reality.
IT STARTED IN THE WOODS
In the Summer of 2015, living in a travel trailer in the midst of the Ozark Mountains, I started designing my own crochet patterns with a simple $50 loan from my fiance.
My first crochet top, Deep-Sea Cosmos, received much positive feedback from my friends and loved ones.
This boosted my confidence and inspired me to create even more original designs and turn my dream of starting my own business into a reality.
With the support of my amazing customers, my work has now reached dozens of countries around the world.
My fiance and I now work together from our sailboat, Serenity NOW!
I was inspired to teach absolute beginners so craft each pattern with step-by-step photos guiding you through each step of the process. I’ve heard from customers that following my patterns has taught them many crochet techniques and concepts. This excites me to make the art of crochet accessible and rewarding.
THE MERMAIDCAT COMMUNITY
Over the years, hearing feedback from customers all over the world inspires me to continue teaching the craft as well as learning. I’ve been grateful to see my designs reach over 60 countries around the world.
The maker community is worldwide and brings us together with others from around the world. I love hearing how my designs have inspired and taught beginners new concepts that have expanded their crochet craft to new levels.
I’ve also expanding my teaching with a YouTube channel to help you enhance your crochet skills and achieve your desired results.
